People need to start wearing garb. The majority of you do in fact wear it, but those of you that still lack garb need to work on that. If anyone needs help, all they need to do is ask and I can make just about anything that you can give me a picture of. (Within reason) |

Veorn has donated his extra Garb for this, he will keep it in his car from now on. _________________ Member of the Board of Directors - Credit Keeper.

Yes, like dark color shoes, preferably boots, and no jeans, logos, etc. |

Also, no more sashes. Just requires symbols that can be anywhere on the gard so long as it's visable. _________________ Member of the Board of Directors - Credit Keeper.

Dan what did you do for your symbol? I think I'm going to hand embroider mine. |

I was thinking the same thing. Embroidery just looks nicer. |

BDU pants are verboten by the new garb requirements if things haven't changed since the last version of the rules I got.
Please don't start trolling. I'm not saying you aren't welcome or anything but why are you even on these boards? It isn't Amtgard, it's nothing you are or have ever been a part of. Did you just come here to troll? |

Sticking to the topic, BDU pants in general, or just the camo pattern?

This is a odd question, becasue I would like to answer it will, "No, because it is not medieval. But this is a fantasy game. And most arguements can be argued with "but it is a fantasy game" And there is no neat way of designating what kind of pants you can and cannot wear either. Like, if I stated, "All pants have to be of one color" that would take away from alot of real historical stuff and the freedom to make a unique costume for your persona. And they are not jeans, but I could say they are too modern looking. But then again, "this is a fantasy game"
There are LARPs that flat out say "No BDU pants".
I don't really know how to fully answer this question at this time. I will think it over.
Anyone else have a take on this? |

BDU pants are decidedly modern and don't look even remotely medieval. If we are not allowing jeans, not allowing modern camoflage doesn't seem that farfetched of an idea.
We aren't Amtgard, we don't have the Supreme Court of Larpers picking apart the language of our rules. I think there should be an "obviously modern" clause or something of that nature if we won't specifically say medieval style legwear. |

I was referring more to the black bdu pants that Omm used to favor in Amtgard. Mostly for the pockets.
How about sweat pants? I would think those would be ok, as long as they are a color close to natural fabric (so black, brown, dark green.. but no zebra stripes or hot pink). _________________ Baron Omar al-Saqr (Amtgard)
